The most common licence category in Finland, required to drive everyday passenger cars and vans. The B licence also includes the T category (tractors) automatically.
🚗 Vehicle Types
- Passenger cars
- Vans ≤ 3,500 kg gross
- Up to 8 passengers
- Light trailer ≤ 750 kg
📋 Requirements
- 1Minimum age: 17 (with age exemption / accompanied driving) or 18
- 2Apply for driving licence permit from Traficom
- 3Complete Initial Driving Licence Training (EAS phase 1)
- 4Pass the theory test
- 5Pass the practical driving test (handling + road driving)
- 6Complete Risk Recognition Training (EAS phase 2) after getting licence
📚 Training Hours: Minimum 20 theory + 20 practical hours recommended
