The full A category grants unrestricted motorcycle riding rights — any engine size, any power. The pinnacle of motorcycle licensing in Finland.
🚗 Vehicle Types
- All motorcycles (no power restriction)
- Motor tricycles > 15 kW
📋 Requirements
- 1Age 20+ (progressive via A2) or 24+ (direct access)
- 2Hold A2 for 2 years for progressive access
- 3Complete A upgrade training at driving school
- 4Pass practical riding test
- 5Theory test generally not required for A2 upgrade
🔗 Prerequisites
- A2 licence held for at least 2 years, OR
- Direct access at age 24
